The new Dog Runner allows you to bike with your dog. It is a dog bike leash kit that attaches directly to the down tube of your bike. This dog bike leash kit solves problems especially those related to balance. It also maintains the proper distance between dog and bike. It's safety tested and is an approved device for use when biking with a dog.
If you’ve ever tried riding a bike while your dog is running beside the bike, you know it can be difficult at best and dangerous to the rider and the dog. The benefits of fun and fitness are offset by the potential dangers of having your dog on a leash while cycling.
Now you can enjoy your bike ride while safely exercising your dog. Your hands will remain free for steering.
The Dog Runner has been designed around a special post connected to a low mounted steel spring as you can see in the pictures above. This safety tested design provides the proper spacing between your bike and your dog. This prevents your dog from getting caught up in or between the bike wheels.
The low center of gravity prevents your dog from pulling or pushing you off balance.
The Dog Runner dog bike leash is attached to a specially designed post, which is then connected to a low-mounted steel spring. This design maintains a safe distance between your dog and your bicycle preventing the dog from running away or getting caught between the wheels. The low center of gravity prevents your dog from pulling or pushing you off balance.
The tube that holds the spring is attached to the mounting kit and is secured with a secure quick release. The holder can be mounted on either side of the bicycle.

The dog bike leash works with most bicycles and is ideally used with a dog that is not well trained. If your dog is not accustomed to running next to the bike, you should not overdo it in the beginning. Allow your dog to determine the speed and duration of the trip. Please be aware that running on asphalt will strain your dog’s paws. Be considerate to other road users, especially pedestrians. Summer heat is should always be a consideration.
